~ Hippocrates

In 2010, I took steps to turn my health around. A much-needed health overhaul to overcome symptoms of auto-immune disease where inflammation, fatigue, toxic overload, chronic hives, hair loss, skin sensitivity, allergies problems, and more took away my quality of life. I also wanted to achieve specific health & fitness goals naturally. I experienced the true meaning of “You are what you eat” and “Let food be thy medicine” and discovered my true capabilities and how to use natural holistic approaches and food’s superpower to help support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

Ever since, I have been enamored with the idea that you can use food to help you thrive mentally, physically, and emotionally from the inside out and that we can make the changes we need. I am inspired and motivated to help others do the same.

Let food be thy medicine.

Getting & Maintaining Results

I earned my health coaching certificate from the  Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN)*, studying the ins and outs of holistic health, including foundational nutrition principles, nutrition science, and over 100 dietary theories, as well as innovative coaching methods,  personal development, goal-setting, and much more.

I applied everything I learned and overcame numerous health issues, which later motivated me to get certified in other wellness disciplines, including personal training, sports & nutrition coaching, TRX training, natural skincare formulation (I love natural skincare), and herbal studies. It was a natural progression to help myself maintain and sustain the hard-earned results and a healthy lifestyle I created.

How I Can Help You

My mother once told me, “You must help yourself first before you can help others.” And I did. Now my mission is to help others.

I’ve been busy brainstorming how to use my skills and knowledge to help others resulting in the creation of this website, Naturally Vie, which shares tips, holistic approaches, and ideas to transform health from the inside out.

Please feel free to browse around. Perhaps you’ll come across a new and unique approach to self-care you haven’t tried before. If so, I hope it can help improve your health and well-being.

I am creating mini-online foundational health courses to help people seeking a more natural solution to look and feel their best, launching in the new year, January 2024. Please visit my coaching website, www.viehealthcoaching.com, for more details.

Food ~ The Essence Of Life

I grew up in Northwest Africa and acquired a palette for different cuisines at a young age through travels. At the time, I didn’t pay close attention to the incredible health benefits of ingredients. Still, the grocery shopping trips to the “souk”(a marketplace) with my mother in Morocco woke up my senses, opening up my eyes, nose, and taste buds to the colorful palette of exotic spices, the fragrant smell of cumin and garlic rubbed on lamb and chicken grilled on an open fire, and the sweet fresh tasting Moroccan mint tea. My love affair with food began.

Food has always been the center of life while growing up. They are memories of fruits newly harvested from the trees, bursting with flavors and nutrients from our backyard; ingredients I remember shopping for with my mother in the souk; get-togethers, first cooking and tasting venture in the kitchen; and family connection time. I am so fortunate for all these experiences as they are the essence of who I am today. And because of it, I am a good cook with a talent for re-creating exotic dishes through my tastebuds.

Today food is more than beautiful childhood memories but a nourishing healing element to help keep the mind & body thriving, well-balanced, and nourished.

My Mission

I love making a difference in people’s lives; it’s the value I learned growing up selling UNICEF cards at the international school I attended in Morocco to help raise funds for UNICEF Children’s Funds. Every year, my step-father, who ran the head office, gave us stacks of season’s greetings cards to sell and raise money.

My takeaway was when you are in a position to make a difference, you do it. I’ve been inspired to do something meaningful, to help others, and finding a way to make a difference in people’s lives became my purpose.

I want to help people transform their health through food, cooking, self-care, and sharing healthy lifestyle habits I learned.
